Set Shared Ground Rules
2 minutes
As a team, agree on a few ground rules so the conversation feels respectful and fair for everyone:
Ground rules:
- One person speaks at a time.
- Use 'I' statements, not blame.
- Let each person finish before responding.
- Focus on understanding first. Solve problems after that.
Instructions:
- Read each ground rule out loud to the group.
- Confirm that everyone agrees to follow them before you continue.
- If the conversation becomes tense, pause and return to the ground rules.
- Keep the focus on understanding first, then move to solutions.
