My Group Lens is a team dynamics visualization platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the service. We are committed to complying with applicable data protection regulations, including the GDPR.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — to authenticate you and send essential service communications.
- Organization and cohort membership — to determine your access entitlements.
- Sign-in timestamps and access code usage — for security and audit purposes.
- OIDC identity information (issuer and subject) — only when signing in via institutional SSO.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used only for the following purposes:
- Authenticating your identity and maintaining your session.
- Sending transactional service emails (sign-in links, account notices).
- Maintaining audit logs of access for institutional compliance.
4. Service Communications
We send occasional service emails related to your account and access, such as sign-in links and important notices about your access code or license. We do not send marketing or promotional emails. You cannot opt out of essential service communications while maintaining an active account, but you may delete your membership by contacting your organization administrator.
5. Team Session Data
Team member names and behavioral positions entered in the Lens tool are stored locally in your browser only and are never transmitted to our servers. This data is entirely under your control and can be cleared at any time using the Reset button or by clearing your browser's local storage.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your email and membership data for as long as your organizational access is active. Magic link tokens expire after 15 minutes and are automatically deleted. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at info@mygrouplens.com.
